In an official announcement today, the crypto trading platform, Bybit announced a global multi-year with top-tier German football club, Borussia Dortmund, also known as BVB.
Bybit and Borussia Dortmund jointly announced the partnership deal today with a focus on mutual brand outreach and marketing. In a statement released, the German club said that BVB is expanding its presence in Asia with this partnership. The club takes this as an opportunity to drive its international marketing and branding.
BVB has the 7th largest fanbase in the world, the club won eight German Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy in 1997. The club’s partnership with the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange shows how is embracing innovative technologies.
Commenting on the partnership deal, Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, said: “We are very pleased about this partnership with Bybit as our International Champion Partner. Especially in the current times, it’s great to collaborate with an innovative tech company as the world becomes increasingly digital. Together, we will penetrate even deeper into Asian markets and will further strengthen our brand internationally.”

The financial sector has always been an active participant in global deals. The partnerships between crypto companies and football clubs have been on the rise the last few years as many Italian, Japanese, and Spanish football clubs signed sponsorship deals. Bybit intends to expand its global reach through this partnership as the company’s logo will appear on the BVB kit. “We are thrilled to be a Champion Partner of Borussia Dortmund.
