BCS Global Markets, which trades on the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), announced this Tuesday that it has appointed Alexei Bolshakov as its new Global Head of Equities.
As the Global Head of Equities, Bolshakov will be based in Moscow. He will report to the co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the broker, Maksim Safonov.
In his new role, Bolshakov will be responsible for managing the company’s international equity team across all entities. Furthermore, Bolshakov will be in charge of growing the Russian-based broker’s equity business across all markets.
Alexei Bolshakov Joins BCS Global Markets from Citigroup
Bolshakov joins BCS Global Markets with more than thirteen years of experience working across equity capital markets. He joins the firm from , where he spent nine years.
His most recent role at Citigroup was Head of Russia Equities. According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined the multinational bank in April 2011 as Equity Sales and Sales Trader, Director.
Prior to working with Citigroup, Bolshakov was employed at for a period of three years. Whilst at the German Lender, he held the role of Director of Equity Sales and Sales Trading. In this capacity, he worked with investment funds operating across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
Additionally, during his career, which spans for more than three decades, Bolshakov was the Deputy CEO and Head of Sales for DWS Investments, part of the Deutsche Bank Group, from February of 2007 until April of 2008.
