Whilst coronavirus rightly took centre stage, there were plenty of executive changes in the forex, fintech and crypto worlds. Here are the highlights of the executives on the move this week
Westpac Names Peter King as CEO to Bring Clarity During COVID-19
King had been the acting CEO since December of last year, having worked with the Australian bank for the past 25 years. The appointment comes at a time when the bank is seeking management strength and stability amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

Senior Management Changes at BGC Partners
Institutional interbank broker BGC has hired Paul Reidy as Head of Brokerage Technology in New York.
Reidy was Head of FX Technology at BATS and worked as a Managing Director at Knight Capital Group, where he managed market structure and liquidity for HotspotFX.
Reidy moved to BGC from his COO role at CboeFX Global Markets. Read more the .
Former CME Sales Head David White Joins CloudMargin as CCO
London-based collateral management platform CloudMargin has hired David White as CCO. White moved to the company from US derivatives giant CME Group, where he worked as Head of Sales triResolve.
Having been with the company since 2011, White will report to CEO Stuart Connolly, who he worked alongside during his time as Head of Sales for the triResolve business of TriOptima, now part of the CME Group.

Diginex Hires Ex-UBS Executive Chi-Won Yoon as Asian Chair
Diginex, a blockchain and digital services platform, announced on Thursday the appointment of Chi-Won Yoon, a former UBS Group AG executive, as its chairman of Asia.

Sucden Financials Secures Head of LME Average Price Trading
Sucden Financial, a provider of multi-asset execution, clearing and liquidity, announced this Wednesday that it has appointed Thomas Hodge as the Head of LME Average Price Trading.
As part of his new role with Sucden Financial, Hodge will develop quantitative analytics and models for use within the firm’s LME trading business.

Finablr Appoints Bhairav Trivedi as New CEO, CFO Resigns
Finablr, a United Kingdom-based payments and foreign exchange (forex) platform, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Bhairav Trivedi as its new chief executive officer.
Trivedi has replaced Promoth Manghat, who resigned from his post last month. Finance Magnates also revealed that Rahul Pai, the chief financial officer at Finablr, is also leaving the company

As Finance Magnates covered, Clearing services provider LCH has appointed Yutaka Imanishi as Head of Japan with immediate effect.

Janus Henderson Appoints Matthew Peron as Director of Equity Research
London-headquartered asset management firm Janus Henderson has hired Matthew Peron as Director of Equity Research, replacing current director Carmel Wellso who is taking a sabbatical.
Carmel Wellso, who spent 13 years in her current role at the firm, will work closely with Peron until she begins her sabbatical in July. She has yet to decide in what capacity she would like to and will return to Janus Henderson.
