Cowen Launches European-Tailored Suite of e-Trading Algos

Cowen Inc. announced this Tuesday that it has launched its full suite of liquidity seeking and execution products in Europe via the company’s UK-headquartered business platform – Cowen Execution Services Limited (CESL).
Cowen is a that provides sales, trading and prime brokerage services. The company’s British business platform is a multi-asset trading platform that provides execution services across global markets.

The firm’s platform has been optimised for Europe, with an algo suite that mirrors the company’s product in the United States. According to a statement published by the firm, the platform also provides non-conflicted routing, as Cowen is not an SI and it doesn’t operate an MTF.

The diversified financial firm has been actively expanding its presence in Europe. As , the company appointed Jamie Niven to the role of head of EMEA distribution for CESL last year.
