Ex-Credit Suisse MD Joins Saxo UK Board

Finance Magnates learned on Tuesday that Charlie White-Thomson has joined as a non-executive director.
“We are pleased to welcome Charlie to [our board],” said Andrew Edwards, the CEO of Saxo Markets UK.

“He is a highly accomplished senior executive and will further strengthen our business as we continue to grow by onboarding a record number of new trading clients, as well as leveraging our technology by entering into wholesale partnerships with financial institutions and other fintechs.”
White-Thomson spent the bulk of his career at Credit Suisse and joined the investment bank back in 1998.
Experienced hands
During his time at the firm, he held a number of different roles in the group’s equities trading division, including a four year stint in Moscow as head of equities to Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
White-Thomson left Credit Suisse in 2015, after spending the prior three years as head of cash equity sales to Europe and co-head of emerging European equity franchise.
“I am delighted to join the board of Saxo Markets UK and feel strongly about the strategic direction and the dynamic environment that Saxo is operating in,” said White-Thomson.
“The prospects for Saxo are positive and I very much look forward to contributing to the ambitious journey ahead.”
