Cowen Adds James Farley as MD, Head of Investor Relations

Cowen Inc., that provides sales, trading and prime brokerage services, announced on Monday that it has appointed James T. (“JT”) Farley as Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations.
In his new role, he reports directly to the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jeffrey Solomon. He will be responsible for the relationship between Cowen and the investment community, and will do this by building new and maintaining existing relationships in this area.

According to the statement, he will also ensure that the strategy of the company and investment opportunities are communicated efficiently, to help the investment community understand Cowen’s potential.
JT Farley’s Career Before Cowen
Farley joins the financial services firm with more than two decades worth of experience in investor relations, financial services and financial media. Prior to his new position at Cowen, he spent 10 years at ITG, .
Whilst here he was the  Managing Director, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications. As part of this role, he oversaw the global investor relations and public relations, his LinkedIn states.

During his career, Farley has also worked at CLSA Asia Pacific as the Vice President of Equity Research Sales, has been an Associate in Equity Research Sales at the Bank of America, and has held roles at and CNBC.
