Skrill Sponsors Del Piero’s Los Angeles Soccer Team

Digital wallet and mobile payments operator Skrill, part of Paysafe Group, has announced a new with the US soccer club LA10. The deal helps Skrill permeate one of the fastest growing segments globally, with access to one of the most dynamic payments demographics.
Based in Los Angeles, LA10 is owned and backed by Italian international soccer star Alessandro Del Piero, one of the all-time leaders in Italy’s Serie A across 22 seasons. The former Juventus star, 44, played for Italy in three FIFA World Cups and was also voted into the UEFA Golden Ball Jubilee Poll, a lists of the 50 best European players of the last 50 years. In 2018, the club rebranded to become L.A. 10 FC and better reflect Del Piero’s influence.

Neither the full financial terms nor the duration of the deal has been disclosed, but under its terms, the brand will take advantage of advertising opportunities across the club’s various communications channels. Per the latest details surrounding the sponsorship deal, and advertising will be featured on LA10’s new team jersey as well as a limited edition Del Piero shirt.
Paysafe’s brand portfolio
In addition to Skrill, Paysafe’s brand portfolio now includes NETELLER and MeritCard, Paysafecard, payolution, Income Access, and FANS Entertainment. The company has enabled the crypto offering to  earlier in July.
