Broadridge Recruits Manuel Baptista as MD, Head of ICSI Sales

Broadridge Financial Solutions, to broker-dealers, announced this Thursday that it has added Manuel Baptista as Managing Director, Head of Investor Communication Solutions International (ICSI) Sales.
At the , Baptista will lead the sales team as well as support the expansion of the company’s ICSI services. As part of this, he will work with issuers, custodians and intermediaries in addition to institutional investors, the statement said.

As Managing Director, Head of ICSI sales, Baptista will be based in Brussels in Belgium. He reports to Bob Santangelo, the President of International Sales at Broadridge Financial Solutions.
Manuel Baptista’s Career Before Broadridge
Before he was working for the US firm, Baptista worked at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) for almost thirteen years, joining in March of 2006. Most recently, he was the head of the Global Proxy Distribution where he was based in Brussels.
As part of his duties, Baptista led the overall strategy for the business globally. He also represented the company at industry events across Europe and North America and was responsible for sales to Custodian Banks and other intermediaries.
During his 13-year stint with the company, he was also the Head of Business Development, Asset Servicing Products from April of 2010 until February 2011, and Head of Custodian Account Management, Europe from March 2006 until March 2010, his LinkedIn states.
Earlier in his career, Baptista was a Network Manager at the Bank of New York, a position he held from June 2000 until October 2003. Whilst here he managed the relationships of agent banks in the Middle East and Africa. He also negotiated contracts and fees, reviewed and recommended service providers, amongst other roles.
Over his career, which spans for 25 years, Baptista has also worked as a Consultant at GOPA-Cartermill, Operations Specialist and later Editor at Euroclear, and Project Manager at Hitext.
