FansUnite, a protocol for the sports betting and sports data industries, announced on Thursday that it has been named the latest official partner for Leicester City Foxes Football Club. FansUnite is the second blockchain partner for the football club and it will support the team during its 2018-2019 season.
To celebrate the partnerships, the Vancouver-based company will launch promotions in King Power Stadium and surrounding areas in conjunction with Leicester City F.C. This will be coordinated in addition to a series of promotions across England.

Sports partnership to increase FansUnite exposure ahead of launch
The FansUnite Protocol is built on Ethereum blockchain. It is expected to be launched in late 2018 and will allow operators to offer bettors lower fees and more chances to earn profits. The partnership with Leicester City F.C. will no doubt increase the awareness of the platform leading up to its launch.
So far the company has received C$4.45 million ($3.4 million) in a Series A financing round. FansUnite has been developing the protocol to facilitate its regulatory compliant token launch later this year.

Sports sponsorships, which have been popular ways for forex firms to increase their exposure, are increasingly being used by crypto platforms and exchanges. Partnerships with blockchain protocols have also been on the rise, as is evident with the agreement with FansUnite.
On Tuesday, that eToro, a social trading brokerage and crypto exchange operator, announced it had made a significant sponsorship deal. The agreement saw the company sponsor not one, but seven Premier League teams including Leicester City F.C. In addition, announced that it will pay the teams in bitcoin.
