Broadridge Secures Alastair McGill as a General Manager

Broadridge Financial Solutions, , announced today that it has appointed Alastair McGill as General Manager of its Messaging, Reconciliation and Connectivity solutions business (MRC). He will report to Tom Carey, the President of Broadridge International.
McGill has over 25 years of experience in the financial technology sector. He joins the company from Cashfac Technologies, a provider of Bank-to-Corporate Cash Management solutions for financial institutions, businesses and public sector organisations.

Messaging, Reconciliations and Connectivity are offered to financial services firms, ranging from asset and wealth managers to brokers and dealers. The solutions increase the operational efficiencies and help to mitigate risk.
At the firm, McGill will be responsible for the strategy and execution of its MRC business. Furthermore, according to his LinkedIn, he will also focus on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction for Broadridge’s MRC solutions. He will be based in London.

McGill’s most recent position was Global Managing Director at Cashfac Technologies. In this role, he was responsible for leading the global Sales, Product Consulting, Marketing and Business Development operations for the company.
Before his role at Cashfac, McGill spent 10 years on the Management Board of . During this time he was on the board in a variety of positions – EVP Global Business Development & Alliances, EVP Asia Pacific, and Chief Marketing Officer.
McGill began his career in marketing
McGill actually kicked off his career in marketing. In 1993 he was the Marketing Manager at Hewlett Packard, an enterprise tech company. After five years, he left the company to join PeopleSoft as the Marketing Director.
He held this position for more than five years before moving on to SmartStream in 2004. He initially joined the tech company as the Chief Marketing Officer & Head of Alliances. Between 1989 to 1993 McGill studied at the Manchester Metropolitan University. He went on to graduate with a 2i Bachelor (honours) in Business Studies.
