Zilliqa announced on Friday that is has appointed Yiling Ding as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Ding is the former Head of Asia Pacific Marketing for Google Pay.
Ding joins the as it begins to increase its marketing efforts to expand the reach of its technology platform. She joins the team from Google, where she held a variety of positions. Ding joined the technology giant in July 2014 as Associate Product Marketing Manager for the Asia Pacific region.
In October 2015, Ding then went on to become the Product Marketing Manager for APAC as the Google Play Digital Marketing Lead. Here she led performance and social media marketing. In April 2017 she was promoted again to Head of APAC Regional Marketing for Google Play. During her time in this role, she led market launch, prioritization and growth strategies for Google Play across the region.
Ding is fluent in three languages – English, Japanese and Chinese Mandarin. At her time at , one of her achievements was collaborating with the Google product and engineering departments to double usage. Between 2008 to 2012 Ding attended Wellesley College and graduated with a Bachelor of Economics.

Zilliqa prepares for the public release of its platform
The appointment of Ding comes at the same time as Zilliqa is preparing for the public release of its platform. It is in the process of developing a suite of tools, applications, and wallets. These will be offered to developers using the company’s technology.
