Aaron Chan has been appointed as the new General Manager of EDDID Securities and Futures.
EDDID Securities and Futures is a Hong Kong-based company that offers trading in Hong Kong and US stocks, global futures, and securities. It also has a range of investment products, according to its website. These include mutual funds and unit trust funds. It also provides securities lending and stock financing and educational services such as seminars.
The company was rumoured to be connected to a cryptocurrency called ‘Caesar Coin’, which apparently used the EDDID name to make the coin look more legitimate. In April the company officially declared on its website that it has no affiliation with that or any other “electronic currency”, calling the people behind Caesar Coin “criminals”.
Work experience
Chan is a finance professional with experience in foreign exchange, securities, futures, and other derivatives.
Prior to his new role, Chan, who received his degree in business administration from Lingnan University in Hong Kong, worked as Director of Retail Sales at Abu Dhabi-based trading brokerage for four years. He was Vice President of GMO Click Hong Kong for two years. is the world’s largest forex provider.
Chan has also worked at BMI Funds Management Limited as its Senior Vice President, at Polaris Securities as Associate Director, at as an FX analyst, and as an instructor at FXCM Asia, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
According to the EDDID website, Chan has also lectured at hundreds of seminars and has appeared as a special guest on several financial TV stations.
