Kathleen Brooks, the research director for , has launched this month a financial analysis consultancy firm under the name Minerva Analysis.
The new UK-based service, aimed at competing with consultants and media agencies, is the latest company to enter the increasingly congested space.
For Kathleen, who has extensive knowledge of the financial markets, the extension into consulting and professional services is a natural move. Her insights and knowledge of the target audience that Minerva will serve allows the company, which was just incorporated in May 2018, to tailor bespoke solutions to clients of the service.
Still, there have been challenges of moving into an area where big , media analytics specialists and traditional consulting companies are all competing for clients.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Brooks worked as a trading analyst on the foreign exchange trading floor at BP’s London office. She also wrote for London daily business paper CityAM. While she was there, Kathleen covered FX, fixed income and equity markets and also co-managed a trading book for its analytics trading desk.
Kathleen has published multiple books on forex, including Forex and Currency Trading for Dummies (published by Harriman House in 2013), and regularly features on global media.
According to information made public on her LinkedIn profile, Kathleen has joined Capital Index, an FCA regulated brokerage specialising in CFDs and spread betting, in the same role she assumes with Gain Capital’s UK arm.
In this capacity, she is supposed to enhance Capital Index’s technical research and educational offerings with daily market updates, trading webinars and hands-on instruction for the brokerage’s clients.
Capital Index has been expanding its team with top industry talents who have previously held similar roles with leading brokers. The addition comes at a time when the company has been looking to continue its international expansion.
In January 2016, Capital Index (UK) Ltd to meet the principles of the religious community in the countries from the MENA region.
Ina different vein, Capital Index founder Rob Woolfe joined GKFX Financial Services as the company’s CEO. What the nature of Woolfe’s relationship will be with Capital Index remains to be seen. The firm , having more than doubled its profits from the previous year.
