GMO-Z.com Onboards EX-Hirose Financial Executive Toshiaki Tsuchiya

Z.com Trade, the UK trading arm of GMO CLICK Group, has appointed Toshiaki Tsuchiya to the post of General Manager, following a lengthy career of nearly six years with another London-based retail foreign exchange broker, .

GMO-Z.com Trade UK Limited is a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulated entity and the largest European subsidiary of , the world’s biggest forex provider by trading volume. The group has maintained an active emphasis on an MT4 offering for foreign exchange, contracts-for-difference (CFDs), and spread betting services.

The company’s core markets remain in the UK, however, Z.com Trade has also focused on other European markets and China.

Mr. Tsuchiya’s previous stop was also with a subsidiary of a Japanese FX company, Hirose Financial, that provides online trading solution to forex traders.

In this new role, Toshiaki is responsible for managing the expansion of the business by ‎deploying best practices from the online trading world into development projects and ‎investment opportunities. His focus will be on shaping the firm’s relationships with industry ‎entities to accelerate trading business, as well as securing customers ‎to Z.com’s trading platform.‎

Mr. Tsuchiya was instrumental in building the compliance and sales functions of Hirose UK.‎ According to his LinkedIn profile, he implemented systems, policies, controls and procedures to address money laundering and terrorist financing risks and meet the requirements under the regulations.

Toshiaki is also a ‎seasoned expert in risk and compliance, where he held senior roles during his tenure with Hirose UK. He ‎has also conducted numerous workshops and presentations on compliance ‎topics for companies and regulators worldwide.‎

Mr. Tsuchiya joins GMO-Z.com during a key period, with its parent company now poised to expand.

, the cryptocurrency arm of the Japanese giant GMO Internet, has recently undergone a big rebrand a few months after it launched its bication platform earlier this year.

The rebranding changes the name from GMO-Z.com Coin to GMO Coin, Inc., and also the service identity from Z.com Coin by GMO to GMO Coin. It also includes a new logo, a move away from the blue background previously associated with the old offering, which was launched in May 2017 to facilitate the trading of virtual currency FX and virtual currency.
