Exclusive: ICM Capital to Sponsor English Polo Team for Third Year in a Row

UK broker ICM Capital announced today that it will be sponsoring the English polo team for the third year in a row. The deal will see the English team gallivanting around on their horses, swinging their mallets triumphantly, with the ICM logo printed on the back of their shirts.

ICM has been very particular in its marketing efforts over the past two years. Alongside its , the retail broker has also signed deals with Fulham Football Club and a bicycling festival.

Fulham may be the poshest team in the English football league system and polo, a game hardly renowned for its working-class audience, attracts a similar crowd to the Premier League team. Put these two deals alongside the one made with the cycling festival, , and one can see that ICM is likely targeting a more upmarket clientele.

Chukka!

Whatever the case, the sponsorship deal announced today will focus on the English team’s match against Ireland. ‘The men of the Emerald Isle’ are also being sponsored by ICM Capital and will have the company’s logo on the front of their shirt – hopefully, this won’t be too confusing for either team.

The magnanimous man behind today’s deal is none other than ICM Capital founder, Shoaib Abedi. The Qatar-born CEO discussed his company’s new sponsorship arrangements, saying: “ICM aims to further develop its marketing and activation initiatives in a range of international markets – for that, this sponsorship is a reflection of ICM’S brand identity. We are confident that this partnership will benefit the firm over the next few years.
