The Japanese cryptocurrency exchange GMO Coin officially announced that the platform is going to add Ripple to its listings from the 29th of November.
The platform is already offering trading options in Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Litecoin was the most recent coin, added one month ago. The company is also planning to add Ethereum Classic to the platform. Though the official date is not yet set, December is estimated.
It is worth mentioning that on the 22nd of September, clients of GMO Coin faced many trading issues on the platform. These problems were mainly because of the platform’s modification of the IFD (If Done) and IFD-OCO (If Done – One Cancels the Other) orders.
On the 13th of November, clients faced issues with exchange rates. There were also complaints regarding the connection to the trading platform. Though GMO Coin finally fixed the issues, it did not publicly provide any details, terming the issues “system failure”.
Japanese Internet giant GMO Internet Inc. launched the cryptocurrency trading platform GMO Coin in May of this year to be a dominant entity in the digital currency market. The firm also unveiled its plans to launch a Bitcoin mining business in September. Scheduled to launch in the first half of 2018, GMO is intending to operate the Bitcoin mining business in a more advanced way by leveraging renewable energy and modern semiconductor chip technologies from Northern Europe.
