Hotspot Onboards Mike Cahill from KCG to Support FX Sales Team in London

CBOE’s institutional foreign exchange venue Hotspot today announced expansions to its UK sales team with the appointment of Mike Cahill as a director of its FX Sales unit.

Mr. Cahill joins Hotspot after three successful years with KCG, where he was in charge of its FX market-making business. Based out of London, he assumes his new role with immediate effect and will be tasked with covering European systematic trading and asset management firms. Cahill will report to Ben Leit, Head of European FX Sales at Hotspot.

Mr. Cahill brings over 10 years’ experience across the sell-side sector. He has held a range of senior level positions with global brokerage firms and investment banks, including Morgan Stanley, where he ended a seven-year tenure as Vice President of Foreign Exchange Sales. He also served with Nomura for one year as Vice President and Head of eFX Sales for the Americas.

In 2006, Cahill earned his BS degree in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises from Syracuse University in New York.
