RBC appoints Wendy Phillis from ICAP as MD for Regulatory role

The Royal Bank of Canada added to the list of changes in its senior management by hiring Wendy Phillis from ICAP to join it as Managing Director of Governance and Regulatory Solutions in Europe and Asia-Pacific for its investor and treasury services unit.

Wendy previously worked with ICAP for around 3 years as Group Chief Risk and Compliance Officer where she had led ICAP’s risk management and compliance functions globally in voice broking, electronic broking and post-trade risk mitigation services.

Prior to that, Phillis worked at State Street for a little over than 16 years. There she served as the Head of Risk Management for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Regions (EMEA) for around 3 years before becoming the Chief Operating Officer for EMEA and Senior Managing Director for the Global Markets.

This hiring follows as RBC’s Singapore Country Manager in July to lead the investor and treasury services business in Singapore.
