Hong Paterson has been appointed as managing director to lead RBC’s investor and treasury services business in Singapore. RBC is a unit of the Royal Bank of Canada.
Prior to her new role, Hong worked at JPMorgan Commercial Banking in Singapore. She has more than 20 years of experience in global banking, most of which she has spent in Asia.
Ms. Paterson will bring extensive knowledge of the securities industry, risk management, the local operating and regulatory environment and relationship management of clients, both domiciled in Singapore and those looking for offshore solutions.
Paterson will be country head and director of global client coverage in Singapore, leading business development and client coverage in the country.
Commenting on her appointment, Andrew Gordon, managing director for Asia at RBC I&TS, said: “Hong Paterson’s substantial experience and extensive knowledge of the local market will be invaluable in driving our business and client activity in Singapore.”
