Amana Capital, a provider of foreign exchange (FX) and commodities trading services, has promoted Ziad Melhem as its Chief Business Development Officer, the group’s latest hire in the new year, Finance Magnates has learned.

Mr. Melhem steps into his new role with immediate effect, and will help oversee a wide range of functions at the group. This includes the management of communications, messaging, consumer engagement, and marketing strategy and execution on behalf of the group of companies, i.e. Amana Financial Services (UK), Amana Financial Services (Dubai), and its other subsidiaries.
In this capacity he will continue to be based out of the United Arab Emirates. He originally started at Amana Capital as its Chief Marketing Officer back in late 2013, a position he has held up to his most recent promotion.
Prior to joining Amana Capital, Mr. Melhem worked at GoldenHill, a company he helped found and lead as its Chief Executive Officer. The firm provided consultancy and leadership services for its clients in Lebanon, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
