Warsaw Stock Exchange Taps Rafał Antczak as its Next President

The Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW), one of the largest securities exchange in Central and Eastern Europe, has announced its latest senior appointment, appointing Rafał Antczak to the group’s President, following the dismissal of Małgorzata Zaleska, according to a GPW statement.

Ms. Zaleska originally. As Rafał Antczak succeeds her, the company directive will also see Ms. Zaleska dismissed from its exchange management board.

Mr. Rafał steps into the new role with immediate effect, having joined the group after a lengthy career at Deloitte Consulting – he worked as a member of its board since 2008. In addition, he also boasts over two decades of experience in the financial sector, in which he focused on a multitude of projects for governments and private businesses.

Prior to this role, he also worked as the Managing Director and Chief Economist at PZU Group, helping develop company strategy as well as supervising financial investments on capital markets. Additional roles also include positions as an Economist at the Centre for Social and Economic Research (CASE) Foundation.
