FastMatch Continues to Bolster London Sales Team, Hires Soren Klausen

Online foreign exchange (FX) electronic communications network (ECN), FastMatch, has brought in a second key sales veteran in as many weeks, this time appointing Soren Klausen as a Director of Sales in Europe, Finance Magnates has learned.

Mr. Klausen joins FastMatch with immediate effect, and he will strengthen the group’s London operations with his presence. In his new role as a director of sales in Europe, he will be reporting directly to Paul Ainsworth, the group’s Global Head of Sales. FastMatch has also unveiled plans to augment its sales team throughout its New York and Asian operations.

Soren Klausen, Director of Sales – Europe, FastMatch

Prior to landing at FastMatch, Mr. Klausen worked at Bloomberg Tradebook, having held a key position in its sales division, where he focused on the Europe, Middle East, and African (EMEA) region. Additional roles also include senior level stints at such lenders as Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and Morgan Stanley, part of a lengthy career spanning over two decades.

Last week, FastMatch made headlines with another hire  as another Director of Sales in London. Mr. Hamilton came over to FastMatch from Citi, following a nearly four-year tenure with the lender – he worked as its Vice President of eFX Sales, focusing on UK hedge funds, as well as macro hedges, CTAs, and systematic funds.
