Saxo Bank’s Kasper Elbjørn to Part Ways with Danish Broker

Saxo Bank has experienced a shakeup in its personnel group, following the announced resignation of Kasper Elbjørn as its Head of Group Public Relations, who is slated to part ways with the Danish broker later this month.

Mr. Elbjørn has been a mainstay at Saxo Bank since 2007, having served a vital role in its relations and communications department during his tenure. He will be leaving Saxo Bank on September 15, 2015, whereby beginning a role at the Carlsberg Group as its Media and PR Director.

Mr. Elbjørn and Ms. Kier have been co-ordinating the Head of PR position at Saxo Bank since her arrival in 2013 – the Head of PR role was formerly split in two given the primary license resides in Denmark. Saxo Bank’s Global Head of Communications role is an amalgamation of a newly created position that will gather both the head of communications and international head of communications into one cohesive role.

Mr. Elbjørn originally joined Saxo Bank in 2007 as its Media and PR Manager, paving the way for a promotion to its Head of Group Public Relations, a position he’s held for nearly seven years.

In his stead, Saxo Bank will be appointing Cathrine Kier, the group’s Head of Nordic Media Relations as its newest Head of Communications. She will continue to report directly to Rune Bech, Saxo Bank’s Executive Director for Digital Media and Group Communications.

“Yes, I can confirm that I am leaving Saxo to join Carlsberg Group on 1 November. It’s been an incredible journey but even though I have enjoyed every day at Saxo, I have been offered a job I just couldn’t say no to,” Kasper Elbjorn tells Finance Magnates.
