OANDA Europe has elevated veteran compliance specialist, Siddhartha Valluri, as its newest Director, according to a recent regulatory filing.
In his new role as OANDA Europe’s Director, Mr. Valluri will continue to foster transparency and compliance measures for the broker’s global network of operations. He has previously served as OANDA’s Global Chief Risk and Compliance Officer for the past year, dating back to September 2014.
In addition to OANDA, Mr. Valluri has held a multitude of senior level roles across multiple channels and industries dating back to 1995. These include roles at Odessa Capital Management, LLC as its Managing Director & Chief Compliance Officer, as well as other positions at Egon Zehnder International, Salient Search, and McKinsey & Company, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile.
, doubling the maximum offered leverage from 50:1 to 100:1. In the past, OANDA had offered a maximum leverage of 50:1 having urged caution, whereby encouraging clients to stick to a leverage of 20:1. Hence, today’s announcement marks a significant change in the risk appetite of the firm. OANDA made the move citing client demand, as one of the few desires expressed by clients in years past that OANDA did not have in its product suite.
