Numerous other merchants are expected to have bitcoin-specific promotions. 600 merchants participated in last year’s campaign and 1200 are expected this year, according to Jon Holmquist, organizer of the campaign. Often, deals aren’t known in advance until the middle of the shopping day, as sellers can list their offers on their own through the campaign’s website.
