Liquidnet Bolsters European Team, Adds Jonathan Gray as New Head

Global institutional trading network Liquidnet has fortified its European fixed income team with the appointment of Jonathan Gray as its newest Head of Fixed Income Sales, helping broaden the firm’s offering.

In his new role as Head of Fixed Income Sales, Mr. Gray will be reporting to Mark Pumfrey, CEO Liquidnet Europe and Constantinos Antoniades, the group’s Global Head of Fixed Income. Moreover, Mr. Gray is tasked with the expansion of Liquidnet’s buy side institutions and liquidity provisions, coupled with the launch of several new asset classes.

According to Mr. Pumfrey in a recent statement on the appointment, “our fixed income platform differs from the other new entrants because we have combined a proven technology platform developed over the last three years with our network of more than 740 of the world’s leading buy side institutions. Jonathan will be key in helping us expand and grow this platform, creating the biggest pool of global institutional fixed income liquidity. We expect to be able to announce further hires in the fixed income space in the coming months.”

Prior to joining Liquidnet, Mr. Gray worked most recently at Morgan Stanley as its Managing Director, where he covered convertible bond sales, trading risk, and research, among other duties.
