Morgan Stanley Names Pair of APAC Co-Heads

Morgan Stanley has made a series of promotions, revamping its Asia Pacific (APAC) team by naming Richard Wong and James Tam as its newest co-Heads of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

The pair of moves is ’s succession strategy for Sam Kim, who recently was promoted as well, to the role of Vice Chairman of Investment Banking – APAC.

Mr. Wong’s promotion comes on the heels of a successful stint as Morgan Stanley’s Deputy Head for M&A, while Mr. Tam specialized on the bank’s Chinese business. Morgan Stanley did not yet announce who will be succeeding Mr. Wong and Kim, however it seems for now the bank’s strategy is to make up Sam Kim in the aggregate.
