France’s financial market regulator, the (AMF), has once again warned retail investors against aggressive internet advertising campaigns for trading -which claim to offer very high yields in very short periods of time. The warning comes as the list of providers was updated to include binary options websites that AMF deemed unauthorized to provide investment services in France.
The AMF said the list cancels and supersedes the previous one published on April 24, 2014, and how these websites may change very quickly and that this list is not exhaustive. AMF added how any unauthorised intermediaries, such as those on the list, run the risk of criminal . The regulator added that its residents should check any financial intermediary offering or from recommending such investments, making sure it is registered on the list of financial institutions authorised to do business in France by checking www.regafi.fr, and if the intermediary in question is not on these lists, AMF strongly recommended residents not to respond to their offers.
