Bulgaria, after passing its gaming regulations back in March of 2012, has been continuously adding gaming sites to their “Blacklist”. With heavy-hitting names like 888, Bet365, Betfair and Sportingbet, among others already banned from providing service within Bulgaria, it seems that they have not stopped there.
Bulgaria has added 10 more names to their list this past week. The newly added companies are:
- Magicwins.be
- Circus.be
- Palladiumgames.be
- Carousel.be
- 36win.be
- Win2day.at
- Globetlive12.com
- Globetgames.com
- Casinobelgium.be
- Mrgreen.com
Bulgaria’s gambling commission is not letting up yet, and is still targeting online gaming sites to add to its blacklist, with primecasino.com and Betcave.com, and others in their cross hairs.
Bulgaria’s gaming laws insist on being located in the country, to have at least 5 years of experience in the gaming industry, to work under a local gaming license and to pay local tax. In addition to the restrictions, any company interested in removing themselves from the blacklist and in resuming operations under Bulgaria’s gambling regulations, needs to wait for another round of licensing.
To get an idea of how long it takes to be licensed in Bulgaria, the first company to receive an official license, Eurofootball, received it in September 2013, 18 months after the laws were passed.
