There have been a number of updates at digital asset exchange and brokerage firm Mine Digital, Finance Magnates has learned. Namely, the company is now a member of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange (GSE) and it has secured a Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The new COO at Mine Digital is Matt Starkey, who made the move public on his LinkedIn profile. He confirmed to Finance Magnates that he joined the company on the 1st of August this year and has been advising the company for the past three months.

“I began advising the team around certain operational features earlier in the year and the time was right to move across officially as at 1st August.”
Starkey also announced the news that the crypto exchange is now a member of the GSE this Wednesday.
Mine Digital is targeting the Asia Pacific region and is developing a range of derivative markets for retail and wholesale investors. The firm’s broker unit provides advice and investment opportunities.
“Our partnership with the Gibraltar Stock exchange is a strategic one that enables us to work with one of the world’s leading exchanges that is focused on digital securities. We are pleased to be granted status as a Member Firm in all 4 categories on the exchange,” Starkey added,
“This will provide us with the ability to promote capital formation and raising for a wide variety of digital fund and securities.”
Matt Starkey’s career before Mine Digital
Starkey joins the ASIC-regulated firm from EverForex Financial Pty Ltd where he was the Responsible Manager, a position he held from the beginning of this year, his LinkedIn states.
In this role, he was in charge of the formulation, transition and leadership of the Sales and Marketing function of EverForex Financial Pty Ltd from a remittance business to a Margin foreign exchange (forex) and contracts for difference (CFD) provider.
Starkey is a veteran in the forex space, starting his career more than two decades ago in 1996 at Schroders Investment Management Australia Limited where he worked in FX and bond settlements.
Starkey is also the owner and contributor to MyFXLab, which operates via www.myfxlab.com. The company is a startup news and education website based in Asia, Europe and the United States.
During his career, he has held a number of notable positions, such as working for the Royal Bank of Canada’s Sydney branch in FX settlements, he was a Director and Proprietary Trader at and was employed at Synergy Financial Markets for one year.
