Credit Suisse has started off May by appointing a new director in foreign exchange (forex) – Dr Günter Grimm, Finance Magnates has learned.
According to his LinkedIn, Grimm joined the Swiss multinational bank in May, as a forex strategist.

Grimm Left UBS to Join Credit Suisse
Joining Credit Suisse meant Grimm had to leave his position as an Executive Director in FX institutional sales at – a position he held for more than eight years.
During his time with UBS, which commenced in March of 2011, he also worked with the UBS Knowledge Network, his LinkedIn states.
Throughout his career, Grimm has worked at , JPMorgan and RBS.
Before his stint at UBS, he spent under two years with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Here he was the Head of Real Money Sales for FX & Commodities for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a director.
Prior to this, he was a Director of UniCredit, Head of European Real Money FX Sales for almost two and a half years and the Vice President, Foreign Exchange Sales, Credit & Rate Markets for four years.
Although his career started in 1986, Grimm began to focus on FX in 1996 when he joined Allfonds Management as an FX Strategist and Portfolio Manager.
In this role, he was responsible for currency strategy, management and research for the institutional asset management division of the bank, his LinkedIn states.
From here, he then went on to become an executive director at Goldman Sachs, where he was a currency and fixed-income portfolio manager.
Joining in October of 1998, Grimm worked for the American firm for almost four and a half years, leaving in February of 2003. Whilst working for the company he was based in London.
