SmartStream Names Nadeem Shamim to Lead Cash & Liquidity Solutions

SmartStream Technologies, , announced this Wednesday that it has appointed Nadeem Shamim to lead its newly-formed cash and liquidity management solutions globally in response to new UK regulations governing liquidity management for local and foreign branches.
Shamim, who has been with SmartStream since August of 2018, takes on his new role with the company with more than three decades of experience under his belt. He will report to Vincent Kilcoyne, Head of Product Management at the company.

Before his most recent appointment, he held the role of Strategic Advisor – Cash and Liquidity Management until February of this year, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Commenting on his new role, Shamim said: “Banks and other financial institutions are asking themselves some fundamental questions about managing liquidity – the pressure is on in terms of, not only monitoring intraday liquidity, but to manage it on a just-in-time basis.
“Our aim is to ensure clients are compliant, as well as, heading in the right direction in terms of technological advances, including AI and machine learning. We have a highly skilled team who can deliver value to our customers”.
Prior to his tenure with the software provider, Shamim has gathered experience across Europe and Asia in a range of areas in finance, from treasury, cash and liquidity management within transaction banking and treasury consulting.

In addition to his new role, two of his fellow colleagues – former Credit Suisse Business Engineer Paul Randell and Richard Morris who was previously at Morgan Stanley working as the Global Head of Cash Management, will take on the roles of product managers and report to Shamim.
