The Germany-based foreign exchange (FX) and contracts for difference (CFD) broker BDSwiss has appointed Raphaël Coffin as its head of affiliate operations.
The appointment was a part of the internal promotion as Coffin was already serving the firm for the last 2 years. He joined BDSwiss as an affiliate marketing manager, and prior to taking the current role, he was serving as a senior manager in the same department.
According to his Linkedin profile, he has many years of experience in the field of affiliate marketing as before becoming a part of BDSwiss, Coffin spent 2 years at LOVOO GmbH in the same department.
By training, Coffin is a business expert as after getting a degree in international business from Foreign Trade University, he pursued masters in the same field from IDRAC Business School in France. He started his professional career at Cubitabo GmbH as a web marketing assistant.
2018 – a Big Year
Last year, BDSwiss appointed as its global head of conversions. That appointment was made at a time when brokers within the European Union (EU) were struggling to keep their clients, following regulations implemented by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
2018 was a major year for BDSwiss as the company had taken steps to expand its operations both in Europe and in the overseas market. The company first stepped in the Asian market by opening an office at Kuala Lumpur followed by the launch of a new trading academy to educate traders
The brokerage firm also made an entry into to cope up with the growing market demand in the sector.
Earlier this month, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) flagged two websites belonging to foreign exchange (forex) related firms that it believed to be suspicious as one copied website and is operating as a clone of the firm.
