The (ASX) announced today that it has secured Gillian Larkins as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Larkins’ new role will be effective from October 29, 2018.
Larkins joins the exchange from Perpetual Limited (Perpetual), an ASX-listed Australian investment and trustee group. At the company, she was the CFO and was responsible for a suite of responsibilities including finance, technology, legal, compliance and risk. Before being the CFO at Perpetual, Larkins was in charge of the company’s transformation program.

Larkins has a number of educational qualifications under her belt. Between 1989 until 1991 she attended the University of Otago. Here she studied and later graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics. She then went on to achieve a DipGrad in Accounting and Finance with the same university. In 2003, Larkins graduated Macquarie University’s Graduate School of Business with an MBA.
Gillian Larkins replaces Ramy Aziz as ASX
As CFO, Larkins will be replacing Ramy Aziz who announced his plans to retire back in June this year. Aziz has worked with the ASX Group for more than 18 years. Before joining the , he was the CFO for Austrapay Limited from 1996 until 2000.
Aziz attended the University of Technology in Sydney. At the University he achieved a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting. Aziz will remain with ASX until October 28, 2018.
