Vela, , announced today that it has hired Scott Visconti as its Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Visconti will focus on the company’s technology strategy.
In addition, he will also help support Vela’s growth in its next stage of development, particularly in relation to developing the company’s , services and processes. In his new role, Visconti will be based in New York at Vela’s headquarters.
He will report to the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Nayar. In addition to the abovementioned responsibilities, Visconti will also work alongside the firm’s executive team to increase its reputation as a leader in innovation.

Scott Visconti’s career before Vela
Before joining Vela, Visconti co-founded the startup data analytics platform, MarketOpen. The platform provides trading surveillance in stocks, exchange-traded funds, equity options, futures and crypto assets.
Visconti was also employed at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), where he was Vice President of NYSE Group Technology. Here he managed a range of functions including development, quality assurance and IT compliance. During his career, Visconti has also held senior roles at BNP Paribas, and S&P Comstock.
