Tullett Prebon plc has appointed Carol Sergeant, CBE as its newest non-executive director, whose placement is tendered with immediate effect, according to a Tullett Prebon statement.
In her new role on the board, Ms. Sergeant will help chair the group’s freshly created Risk Committee during an initial period during 2015. Moreover, she will also be providing Tullett Prebon with a number of services relegated to its risk practices and procedures.
Ms. Sergeant joins the board of Tullett Prebon having garnered a lengthy City career, that saw her working in a multitude of senior positions – these include Head of Major Banks’ Supervision at the Bank of England (BoE), Managing Director at the Financial Services Authority and Chief Risk Officer at Lloyds Banking Group.
At present, she is the acting non-executive director at Danske Bank Group and Secure Trust Bank plc, as well as the Chair of the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee of the British Standards Institute.
According to Rupert Robson, Chairman of Tullett Prebon, in a recent statement on the appointment, “I am delighted that Carol has agreed to join the Board. Her extensive knowledge of financial markets and her expertise in risk and regulation will be of great value to the company and I look forward to working with her closely in the months and years ahead.”
