Prime brokerage firm, Global Prime Partners (GPP) has hired Colin Bridges to expand its European sales team.
Mr. Bridges, who joins the firm from his previous senior position at BNP Paribas, will work on developing and supporting the firm’s growth among European hedge funds, family offices, and proprietary traders.
Julian Parker, CEO of GPP, made a corporate statement regarding Mr. Bridges’ appointment: “Colin Bridges brings much needed sales support to GPP at a time of above average growth in the smaller hedge fund space. His experience and background are very relevant to the emerging managers’ arena and we are extremely pleased to be able to welcome him.”
Mr. Bridges will work under the leadership of Kevin LoPrimo, head of hedge fund services. At BNP Paribas, he worked on the bank’s equity financing desk in London. Bridges covered European hedge funds and played a role in overhauling the on-boarding process for BNP Paribas’ cash and synthetic prime brokerage business.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Bridges stated publicly that: “GPP’s dynamic management has delivered outstanding growth in the past few years. I am excited to be joining a firm that is so clearly and strongly establishing its footprint in the European prime brokerage market.”
This particular appointment follows the firm’s recent announcement, that it wishes to venture into Asian markets with the expansion of its client service capabilities.
