The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) group, a constituent of the Intercontinental Exchange, has appointed Doug Yones as its newest Head of Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs), according to an NYSE statement.
Mr. Yones will step into his new role as Head of ETP on November 3, 2015, joining the exchange group from Vanguard. He has garnered an extensive background in the financial services industry, boasting over seventeen years of combined experience, having served most recently as the Head of Domestic Equity Indexing and Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) product management.
In this capacity, Mr. Yones focused on implementing and launching new ETFs at Vanguard, whilst also fostering the relationship across the market-making and the exchange community, in Asia, Europe and North America.
According to NYSE Group President Tom Farley in a recent statement on the appointment, “The addition of Doug to the NYSE team further strengthens our unique ability to deliver NYSE issuers customized, full service from the moment they start developing their product through their listing day, and for the growth of the product. We look forward to leveraging his extensive background in ETFs and other exchange traded products in order to continue to provide issuers with superior market quality for the trading of their ETPs.”
“We’re thrilled to have Doug’s leadership as we continue to expand our exchange traded product team. As the ETF industry expands to record levels, our team works closely with our issuer partners to provide best-in-class listings services and rule filing support, while enhancing the evolving market structure,” added Steve Crutchfield, NYSE VP and Head of Options Markets, ETPs and Bonds, in an accompanying statement.
