Leading capital markets exchange operator, Bats Global Markets, is set to make two key changes to its communications department as the company looks to focus on its public image globally with new appointments by swapping two roles from the US and European teams, according to information provided to Finance Magnates by a company spokesperson.
The two new moves include Stacie Fleming moving to London in Mid-June to handle all things communications related for the company in Europe, and Hannah Randall moving to the company’s Manhattan office to lead the media and related departments while working with Bats’ Kansas City headquarters.
Fleming heading to Europe
Mrs. Fleming was based at the company’s headquarters since joining the firm in 2010, and will take over leading the European communication effort of the firm.
Ms. Randall had originally joined the company’s London operations in 2013, and was described as having done outstanding work, and will be moving to New York towards the middle of the third quarter of this year to take on the new role.
According to information on a public LinkedIn profile for Mrs. Fleming, she holds the role of Communications Director for nearly six years at Bats, and was previously with Fleishman-Hillard International Communications for over four years and also based in Kansas City, and after three years with Edelman Public Relations located in San Francisco.
Nearly twenty years ago, for a brief period earlier in her career, Mrs. Fleming was production assistant at London International Television.
Randall going to US
Ms. Randall also brings over ten years expertise across roles within public relations and media companies, including work as an editorial assistant for Financial News based in London, and then as a marketing strategy intern at Chi-X Global for a brief period before joining CNC Communications & Network Consulting as a senior consultant from July 2010 through October 2013.
Initially, Ms. Randall joined Bats in November 2013 and has been with the firm for already two and a half years, starting as a communications specialist and being promoted after eleven months to her current role as Head of Communications in Europe, according to information on LinkedIn.
