Paysafe Group plc (PAYS.L), a provider of digital payments and solutions, has appointed Tim Thurman as its newest Chief Digital Officer. He is to join the group later this month, according to a regulatory filing.
In his new role as the Chief Digital Officer, Mr. Thurman will be reporting to Paysafe President and CEO Joel Leonoff, based out Paysafe’s Montreal office. In this role he will help foster the development and deployment of Paysafe’s digital technology suite, including its payment solutions.
He joins Paysafe with over two decades of technology experience, having come over from the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) where he worked as its Chief Information Officer for the past five years. Additional roles include senior roles at Credit Suisse Canada and Alpha Trading Systems.
According to Mr. Leonoff, in a recent statement on the appointment: “From a technology perspective we are focused on building the future of payments, creating the next generation of payment platforms and technology capabilities to connect businesses and consumers around the world with frictionless, borderless and empowering digital solutions.”
“As a proven leader in digital transformation projects at scale, Tim’s technology, product and commercial expertise, make him the ideal person to take our digital payments development to the next level and cement Paysafe’s pioneering technology leadership,” he added.
