Swissquote has created a new promotional video aimed at highlighting the importance of decision making. Three Manchester United players appear in the video, namely David De Gea, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marcus Rashford. As hinted by the video title “Wins are Decisions”, the underlying theme that is being addressed is the importance of making good decisions in order to achieve desired results.
What’s in the Video?
The video was fashioned in reverse chronological order, beginning with Marcus Rashford scoring a goal during a game, and then shifting backward in time to illustrate how the players reached that point in time through the decisions they made in the past.
At the start of the video, the words “What are wins?” appear on the screen. As viewers are shown the backward motion of events, they eventually receive the answer to that question – “Wins are decisions” – just as the time returns to the present, and the goal being scored.
Long-Standing Partnership
Swissquote initially created its partnership with Manchester United in early 2015. The company became the first global forex and online financial trading brokerage to partner with the football club. In April of 2016, the sides in a new deal, after Swissquote successfully received its license to operate within the European Union from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK’s financial regulatory body.
Getting the Message Across
Swissquote Chief Executive Marc Bürki explained: “Empowering private traders to make the right decisions has always been an essential part of Swissquote’s business.” As the company wanted to convey its message in a profound and eye-catching manner, they chose to create this unique video as way to capture viewers’ attention. “We wanted to leverage our partnership with Manchester United to create an inspirational video showcasing the importance of decision-making.”
Swissquote continues to leverage its partnership with Manchester United in strong fashion. The new promotional campaign is a perfect example of how to express and encompass its desired message in a light manner, while delivering enjoyable and entertaining content to existing and prospective clients.
