Richard Wynn, the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Financier Invest’s () United Kingdom operations, is leaving the brokerage at the end of November, Finance Magnates has learned.
He joined the brokerage in August 2018 when it extended its global operations by . Before taking the charge of CFI’s UK operations, he was the company’s branch manager.
Wynn has over 30 years of experience in FX and the trading industry.
He joined CFI at a crucial time when European brokers were transitioning to comply with the new restrictions imposed by ESMA and also helped it to establish its operations in a new market.
“We are grateful for Richard’s support as we established CFI UK, and we wish him well for the future,” a company spokesperson told Finance Magnates.
An FX Industry Veteran
Prior to joining CFI, Wynn was heading a sports management consultancy and also was a consultant at Sovereign Recruitment Solutions – two of his experiences outside the FX industry.
He started his career at Credit Lyonnais Rouse in and later moved to PaineWebber as the Vice President of foreign exchange, according to his Linkedin profile.
He also headed the institutional FX business of MF Global UK for a decade and headed Fixi Plc, a brokerage liquidated in 2019, for almost six years.
Though Wynn is about to leave the company in almost a week, it is still not clear who will replace him to oversee CFI’s UK businesses.
“CFI remains committed to the UK market and will continue to invest for growth and success under the strategic direction of the existing Founders and Directors, Hisham Mansour and Eduardo Fakhoury,” the spokesperson added.
