Ballinger & Co., a London-based FX broker, has appointed three new directors, naming Patrick Ronane, Tim Hallinan and Jon Robson as Managing Director, Sales Director, and Trading Director, respectively.
Ballinger & Co. said the new hires, which mainly included a crew of former , intend to fuel support to its quick growth as a non-bank FX broker that caters to large and complex corporate and institutional clients.
The latest additions come barely one month after Ballinger & Co. appointed FX veteran and the co-founder of Monex Europe, , as its executive chairman and largest shareholder.

New Hires’ Background
Prior to his new role as Ballinger’s managing director of sales, Patrick Ronane held senior positions at Monex Europe, a specialist in commercial foreign exchange based in London. He was tasked with the global development of the business, recruiting, training and managing the sales teams across Europe.

Tim Hallinan, who was named sales director, also brings more than a decade of experience as part of Monex Europe’s team responsible for new business acquisition and client relationship management.

Ballinger & Co. has also lured Jon Robson, who spent the bulk of his career in the institutional FX space, having dealt for Credit Suisse, UBS, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs, amongst others. Most recently, he served as an equity derivatives trader at interdealer broker, Sunrise Brokers, a position he held since 2011 until he moved to Ballinger & Co.’s trading operations.
