Substantive Research, a curator of daily macroeconomic research based in London, has onboarded Jonathan Furse as its Chief Technology Officer.
Substantive Research, the research discovery and research spend analytics provider for the buy-side, recently announced in a press release that it has recruited Jonathan Furse to fulfil the role of Chief Technology Officer. His role will predominantly involve leading its digital product strategy and expand the in-house team of technologists and developers.
Furse brings his experience as a senior technical leader, with a mixed background in engineering, product management and programme leadership. Since he joined the ranks of Substantial Research, he has already secured the Cyber Essentials certification for the organisation. Currently, Substantive Research monitors and curates investment research, as well as, provides tailored analytics on research spend to buy-side professionals, managing assets up to $3 Trillion.
Before this, also at the FT, he was the Head of Platform for Membership in charge of the technical strategy and operations of the Financial Times Membership and E-Commerce technical platform, which was for two years.
In 2013 at the FT, he served as a Technical Architect leading solution architecture, technical product management and technical delivery of the Membership programme. Additionally, he spent a further eight years at the FT from 2005 as a Technical Lead.
Substantive Research Broadens its Reach to the US
The recent appointment of Jonathan Furse follows the construction of its North American operations in the US. Drew Hermann is leading the operation as he had gained the position as Head of Sales, Americas. He is working closely with the Chief Executive of Substantive Research, Jonathan and Mike Carrodus.
