The Cardano Foundation recently announced that it has made two senior appointments, namely, Frederik Gregaard has been named as the company’s first (CEO), and Eva Oberholzer has become the Head of Growth.
According to the statement from the body, which oversees the development of Cardano, the two appointments were made to spur enterprise adoption and encourage solutions to build atop Cardano, .
Furthermore, the changes to the Foundation’s senior management coincide with shifting needs of the Cardano protocol. Ahead of the rollout of Goguen, the Foundation is transitioning into its fourth phase of development.

Commenting on his new role, Frederik Gregaard, Chief Executive Officer of the Cardano Foundation, said in the statement: “I am delighted and honored to join the Cardano Foundation and advance its core missions, which I see as crucial to building a strong digital asset ecosystem, and the future financial infrastructure backbone.
“The Foundation has a dedicated and high-caliber talent base, which will take Cardano to new heights, together with our enthusiastic community. I am joining the Cardano Foundation during a paradigm shift in Cardano’s functionality and useability, and I anticipate that the next few years will be a significant growth period for the protocol.”
Oberholzer also takes on the newly created role of Head of Growth. In this capacity, she will represent all stakeholders of Cardano, ranging from the professional community, enterprises, strategic partners and institutions.
As the Head of Growth, Oberholzer will be responsible for meeting the needs of stakeholders at the management level to create new opportunities for the Cardano blockchain.
