Lee Ratner has taken up a new role as head of business development at SFOX in New York, according to market sources.
Ratner is a financial market professional with a proven track record of creating innovative FX and digital businesses.
Prior to joining SFOX, Ratner worked as a consultant at TrigonX, a digital currency exchange registered with AUSTRAC, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre.
He was also head of cryptocurrency at OTCXN and managing partner at Noble Markets before.
Ratners career began in 1998 at Bank of New York, where he was a senior FX trading systems developer for two years.
He then moved to Currenex, where he served in client relationship management, before taking up a role in FX e-commerce sales at UBS in 2001.
Ratner then became global head of FX product development and sales at FlexTrade , held the role for five years and joined Cantor Fitzgerald as a managing director FX trading and sales later.
He stayed with the firm for more than four years and joined Chicago-based Eagle Seven after, designing and building the firm’s proprietary trading and agency desk.
