Senior technology professional Alison Pain has become CTO at Northern Trust’s London office, according to market sources.
In her new role, Pain will focus on providing leadership and guidance to the planning, organisation, direction and control of the Enterprise Technology business unit across the EMEA region.
She reports to Northern Trust’s CIO Tom South and locally to Teresa Parker, EMEA President at Northern Trust.
Earlier in her career, Pain held various roles at Deutsche Bank, including Global Head of Unified Communications and Automation and Interim CIO for End User Services.
She also spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs, leading infrastructure service and application development functions in EMEA and globally. Pain had joined the firm as Head of EMEA Technology Infrastructure for Investment Banking in 2004.
Before leaving Goldman Sachs in 2016, Pain worked as Head of Programme Management Office at the company.
