Horizon Software, a provider of electronic and algorithmic trading solutions and technology, announced on Thursday the addition of iSTOX on its platform.
Based in Singapore, iSTOX is a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) approved digitized securities issuance, custody and trading platform.
The operator of the platform gained two licenses – a recognized market operator (RMO) and a capital markets services (CMS) license – from the Singaporean regulator, becoming the first securities token platform regulated in the region.
The was obtained after months of operation under the sandbox of the regulator.
Horizon has become the first electronic platform to provide direct connectivity to the new securities token platform.
Commenting on the integration, Vincent Dumontoy, head of client solutions & services at Horizon, said: “Some of our clients are currently starting to issue DeltaOne tokenized securities on iSTOX. Capital markets have seen many changes and innovations over the years, and we believe our clients will strongly benefit from new trading opportunities.”
Tokenizing the traditional markets
With this integration, clients will be able to directly buy and sell digitized securities.
Notably, the Singapore-based platform restricted its services only to accredited and institutional investors. It is offering tokenization of securities with plans to bring on more issuances across different asset classes.
“Horizon’s market connectivity strategy is to regularly add new native feeds to global exchanges and trading venues. Our clients can now benefit from a wider pool of investors across Asia and beyond on an integrated trading platform that bridge the gap between issuance, custody, and trading,” Dumontoy added.
