The (NAB) has a new foreign exchange (forex) derivatives trader, David Pieri, according to a report from FX Week. Taking a look at his LinkedIn profile, Pieri joined NAB in May of this year and is based in New York.

Pieri Launched his Career in 1998
Pieri’s career in the financial industry spans for more than two decades, commencing in September of 1998. He entered the industry as an assistant trader for the Susquehanna International Group, LLP (SIG).
At SIG, he assisted specialists in trading options contracts and stock to cover positions. This involves interacting with market makers and broker-dealers to match trades, according to his LinkedIn.
From SIG, Pieri moved on to work for Vanguard in September 1999 until March of 2000, where he was a junior investment analyst. During his time with the firm, he was based in Malvern Pennsylvania.
As a junior investment analyst, he worked in the Investment Research & Analysis Group with senior investment analysts of the High Net Worth Department. As part of his role, he tracked all security holdings for clients such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
In October of 2001, Pieri started working for the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in forex and rates trading. During the more than 15 years that he worked for the firm, he was head of the North American FX forward desk.
According to his LinkedIn, this entailed managing short-end short-term interest rate trading and medium-term FX forwards books for deliverable forex, among other duties.
In addition to his career experience, Pieri is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Science in the field of Finance, Management Information Systems, and International Business from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
