Retail announced on Wednesday that it is partnering with Real Vision.
Headquartered in the Cayman Islands, Real Vision is a financial media company that provides its viewers with an array of free and subscriber-only video content.
The company’s deal with IG Group will see it providing the broker with a mixture of educational videos and trading strategies.
In a statement, IG said that the educational material would include classes on technical analysis, trader psychology and mental discipline.
All of this is intended to spur more trading on the part of IG’s clients, although hopefully those trades would be better informed and hence more profitable.
On phone, on PC
Other content that Real Vision supplies will be slightly glossier, with, for lack of a better term, financial celebrities appearing in many of the company’s videos. Trump-obsessed Mark Cuban, for instance, has appeared in some of the media firm’s videos, discussing investing, how he got into it and what he learned along the way.
IG traders that want to view Real Vision’s content can now access it via the broker’s web trading platform. Users of the group’s mobile application can also watch Real Vision’s videos on their phone.
“The launch of this exclusive partnership underscores our commitment to bring the best financial content and inspiration to our clients,” said Ian Peacock, IG’s chief client officer.
“RealVision brings [hard] to access names directly into IG’s professional and premium clients globally, delivering indepth interviews, research, analysis and trade ideas from some of the sharpest minds in global finance.”
